WHO WE ARE
The NC Mead Alliance was founded as a way to bring together diverse people all related by a common thread; mead! Today we have beekeepers, hobbyists, and a growing number of commercial meaderies working together to sustain growing trends in NC mead. Currently we are developing the 2024 March 1-3 Beekeepers and Meadmakers Conference held at the Yadkin Valley Event Center, a new NC Mead Trail System with accompanying bus tours, a new honey wholesale listings forum board and online NC Mead sales online listings page at ncmeadalliance.com, and the Alliance has begun marketing campaigns to promote the NC Mead and Honey industries.
Our Mission
Community Networking
Honey & Mead production is not just about the craftsmanship; it's also about the community its developed in. The NC Mead Alliance is dedicated to building strong connections between beekeepers, mead makers, and local communities. By working together, we can create a thriving community of mead enthusiasts and support local businesses.
Awareness
We strive to educate people about the intricate process of producing both honey and mead, from the careful care of the bees to the mixing of the ingredients. Through informative events, collaborations, campaigns, and accessible information, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of supporting this growing industry. We believe that by supporting beekeepers and mead makers, we can build a strong and thriving community that values sustainability and craftsmanship.
Industry Growth
Our community is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of the mead industry. Our forum serves as a hub for industry knowledge, connections, and growth, with a special emphasis on supporting bee populations through education, campaigns, community building, and networking. Our goal is to promote sustainable and responsible beekeeping practices and to advocate for the importance of bees in our ecosystem. By bringing together mead producers, beekeepers, and enthusiasts, we hope to create a thriving community that not only benefits the industry but also contributes to the conservation of bees. Join us in our mission to #savethebees and grow the mead industry together.
